Souen no Kiseki (Fire Emblem 9) - Path of Radiance

Written by Gamerdude
Fire Emblem 9, dubbed Path of Radiance, was a game of firsts. Not only was it the first Fire Emblem game to be released on the Gamecube, but Path of Radiance was also the first game in the series to be in 3D. Equipped with movie quality cutscenes, the game was a fresh experience for all players.
The game introduces the laguz, a race of beings that can transform into animal forms. There has always been a hatred between beorc (humans) and the laguz. The beorc often discriminate against the laguz by calling them "sub-human" and often hunting them. Ike cannot understand why beorc hold the laguz in such contempt.
Path of Radiance begins by following the Greil Mercenaries who reside in the country of Crimea. Ike, the main character and son of the Greil, has just joined his father's mercenary company. When Crimea's neighboring country, Daein, decides to invade, Ike's world is turned upside-down. He meets Elincia Ridell Crimea, the Princess of Crimea, who has been in hiding for her whole life. In order to reclaim her country, she petitions the help of the Greil Mercenaries for safe passage to Gallia, the land of the laguz beast tribes.
As the story unfolds, Ike begins to understand the complexity and meaning of the war that Daein has started. Path of Radiance follows Ike's journey in seeing that Crimea is restored under the rule of Elincia, and gain revenge for the death of his father.
Personally, I think that Path of Radiance is a nice addition to the on going series. I love the fact that you can promote units by raising them to level 21 instead of having to find promotion items. The supports aren't half bad, and the overall dialogue contains some humor. The music, while different because of the console change, still follows the traditional Fire Emblem-style.
Shizumasa: Fire Emblem - Path of radiance (Fire Emblem - Souen no Kiseki) is the first ever Fire Emblem Gamecube game since the last 3D Fire Emblem Thracia 776 released six years ago. In this new FE game, the land of Tellius is suffering from various sorts of fights and war.
As in many FE games, this one is also a strategy game. The way to play and action commands are similar to the GBA version of the games, but with 3D animation and sound effects, the game becomes more appealing to gamers.
The difference between this game and the GBA ones is that special hits can be unleashed after you acquire a certain level, and close-up veiws of the attacks give the game a more realistic feel.
(I think this is from the game cover) Unfurl the banners and lead the charge! All of Tellius is torn in a bloody war, and only you have the means to put it to an end. Take command of a band of mercenaries loyal only to you, and guide them to victory against the forces of the Daein kingdom!
Turn-based strategy gives you maximum control of your army. As your characters gain experience, shape their abilities by giving them special skill sets, and develop your army into a unique fighting force.
Master a world of strategy! Test your tactical prowess against mages, monsters and madmen as you command your knights, pikemen and mounted cavaliers in man-to-man, turn-based combat.
War takes on new depth! Three-dimensional battlefields present all-new tactical challenges, and graphically stunning battle sequences put you right on the battlefield!
Bring peace to the land! Take winged soldiers high into the air, or send your furious skinshifters and unleash their feral might on your enemies.
